"The Futurist" CD cover (2004)
Handpainted artwork, made for the cover of Robert's album, "The Futurist". A photo of Robert was enlarged in order for him to paint on. It was then reduced for digital editing.



Robert Wilson video portrait (2004)
Capture from an art video by Robert Wilson, included in Robert's CD "The Futurist". Wilson's filmed portraits are shown as a continuous loop, the subjects appear to be alive but barely moving. The subjects of the 10 portraits includes Marianne Faithfull (as a character from "The Black Rider"), Steve Buscemi (as mad butcher), and Robert (as the corpse in Rembrandt's "Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp").



Pietà - Sam Taylor-Wood art video (2001)
Art video by Robert Downey Jr. and artist Sam Taylor-Wood. Pietà is created in the manner of Michelangelo's famous religious Pietà in the Vatican in Rome, and is to " present relations of dependency, nurture and support, distilling a sense of peace and calm." It's included in Sam Taylor-Wood's exhibition "Mute".

"Let's Face Diabetes" frame (2001)
Robert donated this hand painted picture frame to be auctioned on eBay to help support the "Let's Face Diabetes" educational campaign. It was sold to an Australian fan for $2,025.





Restaurant plate drawing (2001)
Robert and Mel Gibson visited a restaurant. When leaving, Mel left a drawing on a bread plate for an employee. When Robert later returned he mentioned to the employee how cool it was that Mel had made that. The employee joked "Yeah that was cool but you didn't give me one." So... he did. (Been up for auction on eBay.)





St. Klingman of Moogimus (2000)
"Patron Saint of Last Party Members." Robert has recorded several of his own songs in Moogy's recording studio in New York over the years. Sadly, as of yet, they have never been released. Read more about Moogy on his website.

St. Bagwell (2000)
"Patroness Saint of Pacific Palisades." Robert painted this portrait of American model Shaune Bagwell and mailed it to her along with a letter. (Been up for auction on eBay.)

We have no info about this artwork since it's very hard to see the details.

St. Swithin (1999)
Swithin was a trusted counsellors of Egbert, King of the West Saxons. Swithin was buried outside the north wall of his cathedral, but more than a century later his body was moved to a shrine within the new church. A number of miraculous cures took place and Swithin was canonized by popular acclamation.





I.N.R.I. (1999)
The letters are initials for the Latin title that Pontius Pilate had written over the head of Jesus Christ on the cross. The words were "Iesus Nazarenvs Rex Ivdaeorvm". The English translation is "Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews." The Early Church adopted the first letters of each word and used it as a symbol.

St. Ignatius Loyola (1999)
Saint of soldiers, retreats and spiritual exercises. St. Ignatius, born in Spain, became a soldier to fight against the French. A cannon ball ended his military career. He decided to dedicate himself to becoming a soldier of the Catholic Faith. He's the author of the famous book "Spiritual Exercises".





St. Maximillian Kolbe (1999)
Saint of prisoners and the chemically addicted who founded the Immaculata Movement. After the Nazi invasion he was arrested and sent to Auschwitz. In reprisal for one prisoner's escape, ten men were chosen to die. Kolbe offered himself in place of a young husband and father. He was canonized by Pope John Paul II in 1981.



Gator Day (1999)
This art is most likely describing feelings surrounding Thanksgiving in the particular environment that Robert resided in at that time. Gator Day = a day off, not counted towards vacation, as a reward for hard work.
